About Career Start Edge

Allow us to introduce the exciting new Career Start Edge Program, where you can earn & learn simultaneously, unlocking boundless opportunities for your future.

You will join Telstra permanent part-time for the rest of your studies to support the cutting-edge work we’re doing in areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), Software Defined Networks, 5G, cybersecurity, drone technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies. Edge is designed to enhance and enrich your university studies with immersive, on-the-job, real experiences that embrace ways of working like Agile, DevOps, Human Centred Design and Lean. Plus, you'll get the tools, flexibility, and volunteer opportunities to support your personal and professional growth, on your terms.

We value diversity and are committed to creating inclusive experiences for all our employees. You can learn about what diversity and inclusion means to us here - https://tel.st/Edgediversityandinclusion.

Our Commitment

Our purpose is to build a connected future where everyone can thrive, including the millions of people who are living with disabilities and seeking employment. We are proud to be counted among the organisations who have completed AND’s Disability Confident Recruiter Program (DCR).

We are also proud of our Disability Action Plan, which articulates our core commitments to inclusive employment; to employees and their careers, to customers and to the wider community.

Recruitment Support

If you identify as living with disability, our team are happy to work with you through the recruitment process (or, work with your Disability Employment Services provider if you would like us to).

Examples of where we’ve provided support during the recruitment process include providing access to information in different formats, ensuring suitable adjustments for face-to-face or instant messenger interviews for candidates who identify as living with hearing impairment or speech impediment or standing face-to-face interviews for candidates with back injuries.

About You

Because we put the customer at the heart of everything we do, in every corner of the country – you’ll be able to help us make a real difference to all the communities in which we operate.

Our leaders and recruiters are trained to understand individual needs and can offer support, understanding and a range of career opportunities. Employees with sensory, physical, or other disabilities also have access to a great range of resources, which means more opportunities for great performance and a fulfilling career.

You’ll also have flexibility in how you work, because we know it’s what you do, not where you are, that matters most. And you’ll be supported all the way through.
