Our Employment & Expatriate Tax team support clients with their employer obligations, including employment tax compliance and consulting (FBT, superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover, Pay-As-You-Go Withholding). The team also support clients in ensuring they pay employees correctly through proactively supporting and building out processes and systems to ensure they get it right!
What you’ll do:
As an Employment & Expatriate Tax Graduate at BDO, you can expect to:
- Attend meetings including client and tax briefings for expatriate employees
- Research projects and draft advice
- Prepare Australian tax returns for expatriate employees
- Review and lodge FBT returns during our compliance period (May and June), including ad hoc FBT compliance throughout the year
- Be involved in pay compliance projects, including review of various industrial instruments (Awards, Enterprise Agreement) and analysis of payroll data
- Liaise with various regulators (ATO, state revenue authorities)

What you’ll offer:
- You will be in your final year, or have recently completed an Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or relevant undergraduate or postgraduate CA/CPA eligible degree
- Your ability to commence full-time in January 2025.
